How to have an amazing explore review session

The Visionary and Mavens have completed their research and put their best detective skills to work and now they are ready to show off the wonderful things they uncovered during their sleuthing. Let’s chat about how to hold an explore session to get the most out of the work that has been completed. 

Pre-work: 

• Determine which Explore tasks require decisions 

• Determine which areas of the vision will be impacted by these decisions. 

• Schedule a Working Session that can be joined by the Visionary and all Mavens 

• Create a sharable version of the Vision Journey 

• Create a sharable version of the Initial Prototype 

Agenda 

• Display editable Vision Journey 

• Display editable Initial Prototype 

• Showcase Explore tasks and their owners 

• Begin Session 

• Walk through the Journey and for each applicable step, allow the necessary Maven an opportunity to review their findings. 

• Document decisions in what will become the final prototype 

• Consider impacts to the Vision Journey 

• Determine if additional Exploration time is needed 

• Archive findings 

• Finalize the prototype 

There are times when multiple explore review sessions may be mandatory, especially for larger innovatively creative projects that have never been done. Don’t rush the process, and respect that time spent here will mean time saved for when the work starts. Have a wonderful explore review session!
